That sucks. It isnt, because of the way meter works in MVC2. Meter management is universally important in any game. Noone can argue against that. And its a great skill to have. But its a lot more difficult for a low HP character to have to rush into an opponent and score a combo into a tagout without dying than it is to just do two supers. In the situation where the player is at a point where he NEEDS to get a clutch tag out, then yes, I guess thats what my argument boils down to i suppose. Looking at the game as a whole, of course it would be a stupid argument.

Lenny is trying to tell me to look at the game as a whole. Thats fine. Im just trying to point out the merits of the new system. The merits of the new system happen to be most apparent in the situation described. Which is WHY I'm narrowing my argument TO that specific situation. Realistically, you SHOULDNT be getting into that situation. Its bad play. You shouldnt NEED to exert what MAD SKILLZ you have to rush your opponent down and score a tag out since you have DHC's. But the option IS there for a player who has the ability to pull it off, particularly if they have misread how they need to use their meter. Which will happen more in MVC3 than in MVC2 because of how meter building is. Hence why the new system is a useful addition. Which is the crux of what im TRYING to say.

If I was talking about 'how to play marvel in general' then yea, I would be talking a load of shit. I still stand by the fact that sometimes you DO need to blow your meter on damage. But guess what that is? Meter Management. Using it when I need it.

That Thor taunt is going to be almost 100% useless. The most it will build is about half a bar provided you can lock the other person down with an assist while you sit there taunting before the opponent recovers and launches a super at you, or wavedashes up to you and forcibly enters thors ass. It's only saving grace is that it's cancellable at any point into super. Even if Thor can block instantly. The only element of control it gives you is that it forces the opponent to attack Thor. But half the cast can do this from full screen away anyhow. You're better off building meter with the morrigan meter building assist.

In other news, listening to the Wakeup SRK atm, and they are dropping loads of interesting information.  Particularly around KFC and assist damage.

Keits says that storm with 5 bars and level 3 KFC can just do 5 Hailstorms and kill a point character with chip.  Pretty gnarly shit there.

Yea im listening to that too. Also re: storm, apparently if she does an instant tri jump, she lands before you can get a normal out. Same with Mags. That makes me a bit sad tbh. Im sure there will be workarounds though. Ill MAKE fucking workarounds.
