Clearly smoof doesn't know how to play Q, good Q's don't even always bother with getting full screen before taunting against chun as she has no massive combo to punish with. The taunt vs Poke trade is in Q's favour.

Skull- yes Q loses less life than he gains from taking a standing fierce, but at the cost of meter (and fighting a stocked Chun) and throwing away the advantage gained by doing so?

I dunno about helping your 3S game but I can give you some tips in common sense if you like.
