Seeing as all of us PSN users get pretty good connections with each other, we should organise some kind of round robin competition. I'd suggest small 6 man tournaments or something, but without being able to sit in a party etc on our PS3s it would be a little hard too coordinate. We could use the forums here, or an IRC channel or something.

There could obviously be a simultaneous 360 competition, but with your party thing it could be a lot easier to setup.

It's good that this game is so popular but they need to make a lobby system so we can have multiple people match up in the same lobby, or even have rooms/guilds ie an NZism room that we can all just lurk in and play each other. Someone tell me if I've missed something and we can do this already.
Every time I turn the game on at the moment I get about 5 invites in the first few mins and I have to try and msg 4 or more people saying I'm already in a lobby or at worst just ignore 4 invites.
Who would have thought I would ever be complaining about having to0 many people to play online
I'll be on Sunday morning and then again Sunday arvo for games
Next week I'll have more time to play once or my current design jobs are over.

Simon I will get to play you soon hahaha but I have your number so I can txt you if I know I'm going to be online.

I heard they got a patch coming out in March with tournament mode or something, so that might rectify the annoying one on one lobby thing. Mind you I dunno how the NZ PSNetwork works with add ons cos the States already have the alt costumes released for Graplers but we got zip.

It seems (at least for me) I can't challenge online friends without texting first to arrange it. :/

You can access the Grapplers Pack if you bought the Collectors Edition.
It's on the PSN here, you just can't find it for some dumb ass reason

I'd be down for that. Hopefully the grapplers pack will be released this week with the next store update. Logic tells me I should wiat for all the pack to be released and by em together. My fanboy urges won't allow me to wait though

Lol to unlock Gouku you might wanna play Dragonball Z?

To get akuma put it to one round on easiest and get 2 perfects and 2 ultra finishes before you beat seth.

For Gouken, do 3 perfects and 3 Ultra finishes before you beat seth.  You might have to clock it with akuma first too i think.

I feel your pain Graeme, I couldn't get Akuma the first time round either. I needed to get 2 (or 3 for good luck) perfects and 2 ultras on a character I ALREADY finished the game on.

As for Gouken I got 3 perfects and 3 Ultra finishes by playing Akuma after I had clocked it on him too.

Note: I did fight Gouken previous to this with Blanka, but that didn't unlock him.

Grappler Pack is up on our PSN now, no section for SFIV or anything though just stuffed in under Fighting Games.

I guess this means we are a week behind America for costume packs?

So I know DLC for LittleBigPlanet is region locked.
It's said it is that way for all PSN games.

However some dude on SRK just downloaded the Shoto pack from the Japanese XBL.
Do you think it's possible that SFIV DLC could not be region locked across both platforms, or that XBL users just get a little lucky if they can put money/points onto a Jap account?

If they aren't locked, I'm probably going to hit up entropay and make a Jap credit card so I can grab both beauty and shoto pack

I believe you can gameshare or friendshare or whatever to other regions, that's how Cpt.Munta got HDR months before our release. I think you can do the same with DLC? Saw some mention of it on SRK anyway.

Yeah, it's just that DLC for games on PSN atleast, is region locked.
So you can download it, but it will not be usable in game if the version of the game is not the same as the intended version from the PS Store.

I've paid for LBP dlc from the US store cause I have leftover $, but it didn't work on my PAL LBP. So I'm a little bit hesitant. I really would like to try grab the packs from the Jap store, but it's quite a waste of close to $20 if it doesen't work.

My better judgement is saying don't do it, but hearing that it works for 360 is shuffling me closer and closer to trying.

Probably not worth it for just some costumes really. I'm pretty annoyed, because I will buy the costumes, but it'll be more economical to buy the all-in-one pack when it comes out, EVEN THOUGH I've already paid for the brawler pack as part of my collector's edition :/
