EAST IV SSBB Singles Tournament

Hello everyone,

The East Auckland Smash Tournament is to be held very shortly. As you can probably gathered, EAST is a Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament which has already had a very successful first second and third outing. This time round, BOTH MELEE and BRAWL with the possibility of SF4 friendlies will be available. The Melee rules will be the same as the BRAWL (3 stock, 6 minute time limit, advance slob picks) with the only difference being the random levels (which everyone pretty much knows by now anyways).

Location: 34 Clovelly Road, Bucklands Beach, Auckland
Date: Sunday 22nd March
Time: 2pm tournament start time. Roll up early for practice and lols.
Entry: FREE or $5/$10 depending on competitors desire for cash money.

I have one decent TV available and another stinkier LCD with a few ms delay lol. If anyone could help out in this department by bringing a TV and wii/cube w/brawl or melee it would be much appreciated!

Tournament Rules:
Matches are best of 3 games, with finals best of 5 games.
3 stock, 6 minute limit
Ties broken by sudden death.
Items OFF
First game is a random stage.
Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters.

When the match is over BEFORE fighters change their characters.
The loser MUST nominate the next stage, or elect to go random (and tell his opponent)
The winner then may change his character, or stay as his current. (and tell his opponent)
Then the loser may chose their character.
Then the next game starts.

HOWEVER, if two competing players consent to playing a banned stage, then they may do so. All other rules will remain, (time limit, no items, 3 stock).

EAST III was kinda fail lol. 8 people. 1 and 2 were better tho. 12-14. EAST IV is being done mainly cos one of the old smashers from wellington is up in aucks for the weekend. so having a meet. should be good.

Another awesome event _b Great to see such a big turn out. Was also cool to catch up with some familiar faces. Now.. what about this SFIV Sam? u know we gotta fit it in the tournament XD!
