Xlan has been around since 2001??? i'm pretty sure since I attended A3 which was in 2003 for Counter Strike. It was practically a show room full of PC which was all linked up to each other, lots of leeching and gaming. Apart from that it was the real tournament which could last up to 13 hours per day for 3 days. Most none Aucklanders slept at teh rooms/hall provided. Xlan has always catered  fro FPS games Such as CS,Unreal COD etc...

It has always been a big scene but not to console players until recent years.
