cos i can do c.hp xx dp xx fadc mp.dp > ultra
i either get jab hp nothing or jab hp super stupid short cuts are so frustrating

But if you can do the second part fine then I guess that won't help.

To not get the super ever, do df, df + P

i.e. c.jab, neutral, df.HP, neutral, df.HP
will get you c.jab, c.HP, HP DP

You just have to do them over and over again.  They require alot of 2 in 1s.  And also learn the shortcut inputs for the specials.  Makes them heeeaps easier.
