Massive thanks to ScribbleART \ Kurt for convincing me I could pull it off and many matches in between grinding for fun.
Also shout outs the entire PSN crew, keep it classy.
Up next, most BP with Chun in world (Xbox chun has 16.6k BP)
And then world first Chun to A+ (20,000 BP, confirmed)
Then possible world first Chun to Grand Master (Rumoured to be at 25k, 30k, 35k, or 40k BP)
:o

Fuck yeah! :D
godam, thats impressive!
I cant even fathom getting up to that number.
can someone please clear up how the bp system works?
It seems like when I win (even against people with heaps more bp) I get between 15-50
but when I lose (even against pepople with more bp) I lose about 80-120
its 1 step forward, 10 steps back. Do you just have to NOT lose EVER?
anyway, Good luck Skull :)
zZzZz
BP in this game is much nicer than it was in Vanilla, basically BP has matches the Japanese arcade systems and become easier, and PP is what BP used to be in the other game.
With BP, you will win the most and lose the most by playing people who are on the same grade level as you (5000 B player plays another 5000 B player, over 50 points at stake)
The nice thing is, if you play somebody who is several grades below you, they have given you a bit of a safety net and decrease the amount you will lose (15,000 player loses to 1000 player, he will only lose 20 points not the full 150)
You cannot win more than 1 bp from somebody you are over an entire grade level over, so if a 15,000 A player plays a 4999 c+ player, you will get 1bp win. If the player had 5000 bp instead and hit B ranking, the A player would get maybe 8-10 points.
PP on the other hand... every match you play you risk losing over 100 points at high level. It's brutal.
But yeah the basic strategy to getting alot of BP or PP... try not to ever lose =\
nice ;D i like your player points, over 4000 shows you got skill 8)
lol...
I am only 6k BP and 4k PP....
:)

Reppin that NZ Flag!
congratulations
...I guess...
Thats awesome man gj!
Holy shit good stuff bro :)
Nice man, I'm amazed that you've done it by staying on NZ. Whenever I switch to NZ I'm lucky to find a game and I think I've only found like 2 people over 1000bp (still less than 5k though). Did you find a friend (or scrub) with 5K and get him to boost you lots lol?
my balrog is sitting on 2k bp and cody is on like 1.2k bp. PP is shite though, lol.
Damn hold on to that no.1 title bro! Awesome job! But yeah my Juri & Rufus are still sitting on 2k pp. lol Rank B seems so out of reach :-\
Cheers all, nah mason I got dual monitors I just set up a ranked lobby on one of them and watched movies \ anime on the other.
Lol is that why you didn't accept my fight requests? :D
Yeah prob, also kicked alot of NZ out of my ranked matches for picking chars which I lose 150 points to but only gained 1 point on victory lol.

I think it would be cool if Tournament mode gives you heaps of BP if you win.
Yeah hopefully tournament mode is something cool
.. just play everyone you meet... its not really about the points... its more of playing every single type of people and their style.
But I guess you are trying to get to the top of the point system whereas I am trying to gain experience.
But then I do quiet a bit of endless battles with the top oz players on PSN for it too, so thats prolly why my points are low :D
Play everyone in endless, not in ranked lol.

Heaps of Aussies and NZ's, some americans and assorted other countries but not many.
Majority of the time I made my own games and just sat waiting for people to join, but if it was particularly dry and not many people were joining I would just join laggy 2 bar USA games for easy points.
its amazing u dun get kicked by the USA 2 bar players...
make sure you don't play zosla, he will steal all your points ;D and i mean ALL lol
lol.. can I? hahaha

I only really play online these days. So online is becoming the reality of interactive gaming. Until they release arcade at least.
This doesn't go for everyone though obviously.
^ As unlikely as it sounds, this guy is probably the #2 BP Chun trying to brain game you.
Don't fall for it!

I would love to do it ^_^
It would be an honor losing to second best chun player in the world.................. ............................ ..................... ......................... ............................. ................ ............*online*
An old story suddenly came across my mind so I've decided to share it with everyone.
I think it was almost 3-4 years ago when Super Dragonball Z first came to arcade. It was a pretty popular game at that time. Needless to say it drew a lot of DBZ fans and I was one of them ^_^ Me, Andy, Simon, Tony and a couple of regular yifans faces play the game hard out.
Anyway, I am not mentioning this story for the sake of me kicking everyone ass coz it happens too often and everyone has witnessed it already. WHOKAKAKAKAKAAAA.......................... *Evil laughing*
What I really want to mention here is about a chinese guy who loved the game but he's pretty suck at it. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get his name on the ranking list. So what he did was coming up to me and gave me a pretty nice offer. He asked me to keep losing to him so that he could have his name on the list and he would pay for all the cost. And I was like........ "mmmmm...................." then I replied to him: "if you really have the passion for the game, I will try my best to teach you play and you can beat a couple of average players to get your name on the list. Otherwise, you can take an easy road and avoid all the challenges and still have your name on the list but it wouldn't mean anything". He dazed out a little bit, i think he was thinking very hard and then he just shoot off without saying anything.
The day after that, I had a party with my mates so we hang out pretty late at night, it was about 00:30am. And I've decided to just drop by yifans to see if there's any players around at that time. And the first thing i noticed was that chinese guy sitting on the DBZ machine "Beasting ?!??" his friends out. Needless to say, he gave the money to his friends and asked them not to do anything and keep letting him "Beasting ?!??" them. He spent over $70 (he got about 36 wins and back then it was $2/game) just to get his name on the top list. When he saw me, he was pretty happy to tell me that he's already beat my record and he didn't forget to ask me not to challenge him or else i might ruin his "winning streak".
Why would i want to challenge a player like that in the first place........ I didn't know how to reply him so all i did was smiling and watched him "beasting" his friends out. And he actually was enjoying it so much. I stayed there for a while longer and left yifans after that. I felt a little bit disappointing not because my record got beaten, It just confused me a bit that people like that actually exist and i can never understand what goes through their mind.
It would be pretty funny if after all of that he screwed up entering his initials in.

we used card system. each card = 1 character and u need to put your initial right from the beginning. Kinda like Tekken except that it allows u to level up and learn new abilities.
Yeah Kevin did that with his 66 wins on SF4 with Gief. I always knew he needed to pay people out. Haha.
I have a cousin that sounds just like that. Makes me confused on why its like that.

Haha I remember that. Beasted him with my first credit lolololol scrub ;D
Haha yea cheers Mr. Alpert! bp just seemed more fun than the platinum to me personally.
And Hue while that is pretty odd to see at an arcade, it's hardly surprising considering there are virtual economies based around "selling wins" etc. on various MMO's these days.
YAY 36 wins! No body in the universe can beat me in DBZ! EXCEPT JUSTIN WONG! LOL
Hue,
I remeber lol, I think the only good players were kingpiccolo, simon, u and me? but it was definitely a good game :D
I think I'm still ranked 2nd on teh board?
Kevin got 66 win and got bored, so he gave Ben the honor :P
Skullator,
MMo's are different in all aspecs, ur behind a computer somewhere in the world. You pay people to Grind\ Power lv or for gears which ur char need and will improve overall gameplay.
In Hue's example, this guy is paying for people to lose on purpose and the only thing he gets out fo that is his name on the score boat... he doesn't improve at all, it doesn't show him as any different from before. No much point tbh.

Anyways Hue that was a good story. Man we should have a thread dedicated to cool Yifans/arcade stories like that. On that note:
