Hey, i'm aaron, just got back into sf a while ago, basically looking for people around palmerston north that are keen on some practise nights, was gonna put this under the people finder but thought i'd share with everyone my gear too...
I have a 50 inch Arcade cabinet running a multigame at the moment, which will be swapped out for a mame pc very soon, but has a good working sfa1-3's, as well as hyper anniversary and some capcom crossovers. Keen for some jams on alpha 3 with someone who knows what they're doing.
And just bought a candy cab to strip and install a lcd and 360 into for ssf4, blazblue, mvc2 on xbl, and mvc3 when it drops.
Got a 360 with 2 shitty stock hori ex2s which aren't too bad for ssf4 and blazblue for the mean time..

You been inside that Lan center called icafe or w/e near The Regent Broadway. They got 360 setups? I never been in.
Last time I was there iCafe did not have 360's and it was packed full of teenagers playing CS:S and DotA and getting smart to the employees in the cafe.

Nice. One of my dreams is to own a pinball table... but they are pretty expensive and not exactly easy to maintain.
Yeah. The're not cheap, or reliable, although that one there is a gottlieb system 3 which is apparently one of the more reliable machines, military grade electronics..

Gonna chuck a 360 in there, getting a scart to jamma converter and a couple hacked pads. The monitor rotates fairly easily. Also came with a 2 player 6 button cp inlay, ready for some sanwa gearz . Mean.
And a beer fridge right in arm's reach! Perfect!

Yeah it came with a 60 in 1 vertical game pcb, so it will need rotating to horizontal for fighters, apparently there are some mean jp shmups for 360 but not really interested in those.
Yo jpb, squares, me and some mates are having a small tournament friday night, 10 dollars entry, winner takes all, give me a text or pm if you keen, most likely be alpha 2, or 3, haven't got that far feel free to show interest in which you'd be keen to play, could have some ssf4 jams too, although the 360 red ringed the other day but seems to be ok, also if some of your ipc mates are keen thats cool. But try bring only people who will enter the comp, don't have a massive amount of room. Cheers.

The competition is pretty average really man, well my mate might be bringing a couple guys who if says are good, who knows, but save ya ten if ya want sweet as if you want to roll round for some jams anyway.
Yeah man I love them, crazy juggles, alpha cancels, just fun really. Hardly even touched the xbox since I got the cab, kinda bad really, when I do play ssf4 now I find myself going for juggles that aren't there and shit haha

The candy was 700.. Yeah they're pretty rare everywhere. Although the same guy has some namco excelleena candys which are pretty cool. search deluxe namco under arcade and pinball machines on tm.

bit of an update...
i sold the 50 inch machine to a mate, just too big and unpractical, and the tv was basically a big bill waiting to happen. kinda gutted to see it go, however a relief also lol.
my pinball machine is FINALLY with repairman as of 2nd feb, so shouldn't be too far away.
the candy is going to see progress in the next week or so, i have ordered a hyper fighting pcb and will order new joysticks/buttons next week. Also, the guy i'm getting the hyper fighting board from has a ST board on site he will save for me when he decides to let it go, might be forever but good to have that in the back pocket, getting harder to find nowadays.
also, i'm gonna be building a vewlix clone, but putting that back till these 2 are finished, have a feeling the pinball repair bill won't be leaving me to flush in the money department.
so yeh. stoked.
