Oh yeah, and if everyone's interested I'm keen on running another MvC2 tourney next year when a few more of the marvel players are back in NZ (probably scheduling around Gunsmoke since he's impossible to pin down!!!)
I'll practice for that one so I don't feel so disgusted by my performance afterwards :(

Marvel tourney was real awesome thanks alot for organising and yifans afterwards was pretty good. Just hope you guys didn't use all of my TZ credit :P
haha I think we used $20 we thort it was $1 a game for hyper but after we used the $20 alan just pressed 2player start and 'here comes a new challenger ' comes up lol
Mustve been $1 for 2 games so we had heaps of credits left and then they turned the power off and kicked us out pretty much .

Lol Euan, I forgot to tell you guys. Stu, don't you know smoofs team. Build as much meter with sentinel until he dies, then JUMP BACK CABLE WITH CYCLOPS ASSIST. Team AV, he beat Samurai Black in the first game in a mirror, then Richard won the next 2. Then Richard knocked him out.
That sounds like the basis behind any scrub team :P

Does anyone have any suggestions for re-encoding tools? I've been using one called MediaCoder and it seemed to work ok for everything else.

Nigga me and Richard are team AV. I didn't use team OG Ghey cause I don't think I could do it justice. Mason is just jealous cause he couldn't even peace out one member of team AV.

But I stand by my opinion of that team. It would be a different Story if akuma was your point character, but if you're just using him as an assist then you might as well use psylocke.
Yeah but akuma is cooler than psylocke. And his assist gives me plenty of time to react/mixup. And I still can use him as a decent point character anyway. I've beaten high tier team's last 2 and a half characters with only akuma left. And I beat Hue before at Yifans with a 2v1 vs my akuma. And my akuma is still shit. But when I learn the infinite on cable and sent it'd be much better.
akuma is awesome cause he has a 5 hit dive kick in marvel. give him that ssf4

I totally agree. And Hue only really knows how to fight conventional marvel shit. And even then i dont think Hue has played marvel in like, over a year.
Im not arguing his effectiveness as an assist. It just, i dunno, doesnt feel right to me with that assist on the end of that team. I think its because when i see akuma, i reckon he should be played on point, and have the rest built around him. Not relegated to an assist, and then a cross-fingers-hope-for-a-comeback character. His assist is good, but not good enough to merit him being in that position.
Its not the character. Its how youre using him that bothers me. But meh. Im sure theres some asshole out there that thinks the same of tron/psylocke. So whatever. Do what you like. I still stand by what im saying though.
I was pretty surprised to see how long akuma's assist keeps hitting them for tbh, can definitely see the usefulness of that!

mason needs to level up his akuma with more overheap chops and dive kick chip deaths.
Yeah I know. I've seen some good akuma shit, but I really only use his teleport.
