Hi Guys,
I am planning on Buying a Xbox360 console.
Now I know there are a couple to choose from here:

I am unsure what they coem with etc etc as they don't specify too much on them.
I just want to know the differences and which one would be the better deal from you xBox users.
Also if you guys know a better place to buy from/ better deals then please let me know :)

arcade = no hard drive
elite = hard drive
pro = discontinued
The bundles are usually the best value for money. But if you dont want the game they come with i would personally grab the elite.
Elite has an HDMI port which a lot of the older 360's (pro etc.) dont come with, and im told theyre a lot less prone to the RROD. (Can someone confirm this? I might be wrong here)
Theyre MUCH more expensive though.
The most COST EFFECTIVE would be to get either the GOW bundle, or the Halo bundle in the link you posted. Even if you dont want the games, you can sell them on trademe and get some money back.
Most reliable would probably be an elite. But The price almost doesnt justify it. Almost.
Personally, im a cheap bastard, so i would grab one of the bundles. And its probably going to be the cheapest at either the warehouse or JB Hi-fi
Actually the arcade and pro(60gb) do come with hdmi. Try to pick up a pro. It is worth the money (unlike the elite).

Pro consoles have HDMI as well now, most consoles that have been manufactured in 09 have the "RROD" fix (A better heatsink and whatnot).
The only reason to get an old elite is that it has the larger HDD (120gb). Which can be useful if you want to install games onto the hard drive. But The Pro ones have 60gb which should be fine.

I have a 60gb pro.
Not sure how current these other guys think they are, but recently the pro has been completely dropped from the lineup, and the elite made cheaper to almost match what the pro used to be.
Basically the elite is now a pro with a bigger hd for $50 more.

thats exactly what I am thinking, 120 gig elite has more storage and practically give the same items/ spec as the 60 gig pro right?

Must be the 2 extra games. Both of those seem pretty good. Id probably go for the first one.
Yeah I think the elite is a 'proper' bundle, whereas the pro is a mighty ape bundle.
yeah teh elite is a ncie choice as mighty ape is chucking in another free game ontop of the 2 that comes with teh bundle!!! i mean i don't play those games but hey lol!!!

Make sure you get one with a Jasper Motherboard.
I'm pretty sure all the new bundle boxes (new elites) will contain jaspers.

The arcade version are more likely to be the jasper motherboard? it would be lame to buy an elite with the chance of it being a jasper board is null... or have tehy now manufactured new boards for teh elite version as well?

I already got Sf4 on xbox... and its has been sitting in the dusk since release date on console... won it during the launch party at RvB with control pads lawl :P
but yeah got soem other games I would liek to play so thinking of treating myself something for xMAS :)

IMO, I'd just go out and buy an Elite... The chances are it's going to be a Jasper, and if it red rings on you, you still have 3 years of warranty (the last time I checked) to return it and get it fixed.

well true that, i might just go to EB/ JB hiFi and check out the elites and see if they match the release amps / LOT number for a Jasper board, if so I might just get it. Mighty Ape is giving a good deal though I am hesitant in buying it since I can not identify the version before I buy...
Pretty sure you can send mightyape an email asking. If they are wrong you can surely get them for misrepresentation if they screw up.

well teh whole point of getting an xBox360 is that i really hate the PS3 being slow playing Sf4... I mean some may deny it but it IS there. those that are used to the PS3 won't matter but for me who plays all on four plateforms can really feel teh difference.
Yes Ps3 is free online... thats really something to think about too...
I personally like the xbox graphics more than the Ps3, it just looks better, on SF4 anyway....
oh yeah I really want to play the BOMB :P and the rest of the top 8 in OZ. Its really good training :D most of them are really ncie and give positive feed backs if you give them feed backs as well.
Though I DO want to play some of you PS3 players :)

Yea its a tough call eh. Im glad i own both consoles now, so that when SSF4 drops i can splurge and grab a copy for both.
Best aus comp is on XBL, but there are more kiwi players on PSN.
Yeah even Brodsta wants xbox for Ozhadou comp.
