I think we should sticky a topic like this for quick bargains(?) on trademe:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Joysticks-gamepads/auction-358556764.htm (sold it already!)
good stuff, would totally go for it if it was a ps3 stick
but I can see how this can benefit peeps for future bargains like this
BAM!
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Arcade-pinball-machines/Complete-units/auction-360163406.htm
if the payment for the pinball repair wasn't next weeks i would so jump on this.
awesome find, I think the dimm auction the guy has will be interesting for all you can play naomi hacks on naomi boards...we'll see.
trademe took the 3s board down, not sure why, maybe the NO CD hack is illegal? don't worry tho, i am in communication and will know tomorrow if i have it......had to borrow some $$ off my flatmate.
thats right homies, i might have a cp3 3 strike pcb. omg omg omg omg
be weary of what pajoey said, if you remove the ram, then you loose it all...make sure you get the cdrom and the cdcopy of 3s
won't be removing a thing mate. once its in the cab thats most likely where it'l stay, have no desire to play any other cps3 games anyway.
mean stick at great price
trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Joysticks-gamepads/auction-360918734.htm
OOOHHH Are they easy to mod? I don't know much about sticks but could I simply install PS360 PCB into it so that it works for well PS3 and Xbox?
EDIT: Sorry if any of you guys were interested in it because I bought it ;D Also thanks Rugdoctor for the heads up, I've always wanted an HRAP (even though it's PS2, I'm still happy :))).
EDIT2: LOL adding an extra ) to :) gives it a red tongue lol
roomy and easily modded with pcb of choice (i have 5 of them), just a small labyrinth of screws and nuts to negotiate with to open up the top plate, but after that is all quick disconnects,so matter of snip and tuck into the ps360. hmmm...keep the ps2 pcb, cause it might come in handy. The buttons will be mushy horis, but the stick is stock jlf so swap a few buttons and you will have a mint stick. Be aware the plate wont accomodate a ls-32 without serious metal work, so swap out the jlf spring for a seimitsu one for a stiffer stick, no homo.
Glad I made your day :)))
JLF is definitely all good. Hori buttons are fine since they register when I want them to but I will swap them out for sanwas eventually ($5 a button on TM if iirc).
Now gotta figure out whether I should either buy a pcb or 2 lagless converters (a ps3 and 360 converter) depending which one is cheaper ;D
Thanks again mate, I'm looking forward to receiving my hrap :).
TVC Wii stick for under $80. Note that you need to use the wii remotes to make this work.

SF-Hyper on the go!!! Definite contender if it was NTSC version..60hz ftw!
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Joysticks-gamepads/auction-364662206.htm
I think its XBOX1 compatible too judging by that memory slot, had one before, lags when using it on mameox on the xbox1, but non-homebrew software seems fine.

Fuck I thought I was the only person in the world who remembered that shit.
Also, random comment: I meant to type "show" but my fingers automatically typed "shit". I think I need to stop swearing.
The Pretender was alright. Andrea Parker from Jag/Less Than Perfect was alright also.
I'm pretty keen for it since it uses a crt screen. Just wonder what the internals look like.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/PlayStation-3/Accessories/Controllers/auction-370967161.htm
Holy shit what do you do with all those buttons?
for people who collect stuff maybe?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/PlayStation-2/Accessories/Controllers/auction-372020608.htm
Yeah, I think so, only for collection sake...got one for $30.00 with crown stick and buttons. The case is a basic rectangular shape about the size of 2 shoe boxes stacked on top of each other made from recycled wood plastered with oak wood coloured vinyl sheet (classy!!). Just got it for the buttons and stick to try out Korean parts. The case attracts mould like there is no tomorrow.
i was refering to the sf pads lol. i have no idea what someone would do with all those buttons..
maybe could use it for a midi controller on pc ???
opps, my bad. I think the buttons are aligned for some beatmania/popnmusic gameplay perhaps??

Spot on the price.
Can you mod those namco?
You can mod anything. It's just more effort than it's worth, modding a namco can be a bit of a beach especially regarding the size of the stick
Im gonna do it. If anyone wants a Hrap SE

Hahaha you're gonna go and pick it up so that you can check her out in person aren't you? ;D
Ya, see if she can use them.
Cool, lets get back to actual bargins/good deals found ok?
1$ reserve 8 Astro Citys / super city (??) (broken)
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Gaming/Arcade-pinball-machines/Parts/auction-374297489.htm
i'd be all over that if i was in auckland.... might watch it anyway...
8 though....
i'd love me a astro
thats a lot of arcade loving right there....thank goodness my tm account is in the red or I will bid hundreds on it. If nzspacies get them, no douts it will be back on tm at 600 to 800 each. Should do a nzism bid and dibby out the machines!!
i'm kinda gutted i've seen that now. :-\
hopefully they don't get molested with laggy 22 inch lcds chucked up their guts or something
from what I can see, only a well equip restorer or wifeless/super understanding girlfiend (a.k.a unicorn) guy can or should win this auction. 6 machines at one time is a bit much to handle let alone store. I think the seller meant what he said and that they are only good for parts and I wont be surprise if the sum of all 6 cabs will just equal 1 and a half working cab.
Group buy will be key to get all cabs running as it should be, especially factoring repairing, parts and games costs.
yeah, you're right they should go to someone who has the means to fix them all, although i probably wouldn't shed a tear if the super citys were dumped...
plus you'd have to win them first, some of the arcade guys on there have pretty deep pockets...
they are in it for profits rather than restoring them I bet. I think the cabs will be vinyled up with random gaming arts, replaced controls with new cheap components and I can see 60/160/260s in 1 to bump up the price, plus freaky monitor swaps.
Anyone who love to own a candy cab should organise a group buy on this auction...restore the cabs to their former glory and have a piece of yifan at home.
One machine shouldnt bother the wife too much as well...
Bro check out the questions. They're astros and blast citys. And there's more!! Working!
yeah, lots of better choices on the way!! Definitely interesting developments...but I am going to be firm and make do with what I got.
Pajoey actually has a working naomi sit down for sale about the same price as the blast city, so he might flick it off slightly cheaper is it means money towards a blast city.
I've drawn up plans to build a vewlix but don't have the tools at home to make something like that myself and don't have the cash to get someone to cut it all up and put it together.
however, this is fucking beast: http://arcadeworx.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=46&osCsid=3a2139b3ab4da79221cc8e4116b48945
yeah, i've seen those, they look really good but shipping would surely kill it, my ST cps2 boards, 3.6 kgs,
imagine 2 shoeboxs next to eachother was 57$ aussie. hate to think what that would be. i'l be starting my build soon off the donovan myers plans http://www.donovanmyers.com/2010/06/pdf-of-vewlix-tournament-edition-plans/ but with a couple differences, luckily my dad is local and has all the tools and is a really good wood worker with all the shit and a painter by trade so it will have a nice finish (hopefully)
i'm still keen as for a blast city though, multi sync yeah boyee

He is selling due to external forces..dunno whether its bs or not, but his answer to one of the questions was something like "to own something like this takes more than money, you need an understanding wife.."which I totally agree. Becareful what you wish(buy) for I suppose...
on that xbox cab theres a question
Would u consider $600. lankis (6 ) 5:49 pm, Wed 18 May
Outside of TM I'd consider $650. Thanks. 7:46 pm, Wed 18 May
