Pretty sure it was a combined $15k. i.e. $7500 per side. And the actual competitors' input was only a couple of hundred.

in US, especially for marvel, everyone puts in side bets. All the side bets are recorded and put together to make the total pot for the money match. There was a interview thingy on the dogface show about a MVC2 money match for 50k total pot which explains how it gets so high. People were selling their cars and shit. lol.
