So I put in Tekken 6, play it for a bit with no problems, then quit the game and take the disc out. When the disc comes out, it still shows the cd icon on the game menu, but it says Corrupted Data. So I reset the thing, and now it wont read discs at all. I tried the trick where you hold down the power button and restore file system but that didn't work, now everyone is telling me I need a new ps3 laser. Just wondering if there is some alternative.
Nah, I'm pretty sure you need a new laser. Friend of mine had this happen to him.
Guys at kiwimods.co.nz do it for like 170 I think. check it out.
Get Sony to do it for free. Quote CGA and ring the retailer first. They probably gonna be dicks. Then ring Sony. quote CGA. Have to have proof of purchase and has to be under 5 years old.
Warranty's are rip offs. CGA lasts longer and is free. CGA PS3
