In case anyone hasn't read it yet, the pot for this years EVO SSF4 tourney is going to be at LEAST $20, 000. That shit is insane.
Not to mention the huge contingent of Japanese players that will be attending. Tokido,Dashio, Epsilon J, Momochi, Uryo, Kindevu, Gasshuku, Aru, MA@ERO, Kyabetsu are all confirmed. And Daigo as well of course. Its going to be really interesting to see the top 8-16 this year, since i imagine a hefty chunk will be from Japan.

But fuck, $20k. Im more hype for this now than i was before. And I was pretty fucking hype before.
xlan is going to be pretty noisy if they come through with the stream!
it is quiet an amount considering previous wcg games such as dota\ cs was about 20k-35k shared btw team...
Its a pretty incredible milestone for fighting games actually.
Fuck, imagine the hype if its a USA vs Japan final. IMAGINE THE HYPE.
Japan > Usa in this version of SF.... but what I really want to see is how Justin W. go against the other Japanese players...
Wonder if Daigo will be able to take it over the rest of them.
Holy shit - I'm getting hype like you know who (hint: Mark Charteris) - Kyabetsu and Uryo are my two favourite Viper players - I want to see them fuck shit up!

>_>
You lose Eru.
Dashio's Viper is the shit, he is the first and only person I have seen capable of doing Seismo -> Feint -> Seismo -> Feint non stop rapidly, and we all know that shit is beast.
6:00
Man they didn't announce that Australian players are going :(
LIKE THE CEO OF TEAM AV!!!

Easy. Mode.
I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY MR ERU?
Its simpler than you think, but actually applying it usefully in a match is something really impressive.
Thats the main thing i like from some of the japanese players. Innovative shit. Like that from dashio, or the run stop lk blockstring from TKD. What i like from the americans is the atmosphere and competitive attitude those cunts bring. I really hope USA do well this EVO. Hype that shit up.
I gotta say good luck to Justin, I hope me makes top 8. Justin vs Daigo final is looking pretty unlikely lol. More like Daigo vs Momochi.
I'm pretty hype, which means you all have to come to Xlan to watch this shit on the big stage. Only like 6 days left to pay.
MASON JUST RATED MOMOCHI AKUMA OVER TOKIDO AKUMA!!
Good shit, whenever I support momochi on youtube comments 1 million Tokido fans rush down my shit.

Yeah, it's like Bill says - quite simple to do in training mode, but difficult to do in a match setting with an actual purpose lol
Momochi = S Tier
I hope the US guys do really well. I wanna see JWong, Sabin, and Sanford int the top 8 for sure!
AMERICAAAAAA FUCK YEAH!!!
OK then I'll call it. Daigo loses to Momochi in winner's bracket. Then Daigo beats Tokido in loser's final. Then Daigo wins the first set against Momochi and then it'll be an epic close game (not gonna tell you guys who's gonna win). I would like to see Justin and Sanford place high though. The 3 Lenny mentioned are pretty much miles ahead of the rest of america. They're nearly on the Jap level.
Tomo Ohira will beat Thomas Osaki in the finals after they both run a train through all the japs
Grand final: Kindevu vs Marn.
Believe it.

i would love to see a new character make it through to top 8

I'll go if you pay ;D
you strike a mean bargin
It is a SAD day for fighting games following this EVO announcement. Looks like it might not be worth watching anymore.
http://shoryuken.com/content/1060-Vuvuzelas-BANNED-at-EVO-Super-SFIV-Rule-Change-BtM-no-cameras-cell-phones-allowed!
during the bang the machine footage though. unless im missing something.
During the Bang the Machine screening, there will be NO CELL PHONES or CAMERAS allowed in the hall. This is a unreleased movie and we are treating it like one. Any person in possession of one of these items will not be admitted. Please leave them in the car or hotel room as we will not be holding on to them for you.
hoping the event is not in the same "hall" as well.
Im talking about the Vuvuzelas.
Shit would be OFF THE HOOK. Thinking about grabbing a few for our nats.
