Geoff Johns will be okish - but compared to other years as a whole its a sad list.
O.o Most years the highlights are some voice actors and 3rd rate actors. Last year I remember the only damager I really wanted to see was Jim Lee. When Sean Schemmel is the highlight of an event I wouldn't really call the guest list top tier =/

Lineup of stars is allright, will be there helping at a stand and working with a band for two performances on sunday.
I'm not sure if I will go this year. Last year we went and couldn't wait to leave because of the crowds. The stalls seem to be stocking the same items every year and they aren't drastically reduced in price. Also they never have anything too out of the ordinary. :-\

They have had machines in there in the past, normally the arcade machines in there are either them or timezone imax iirc. At least I thought it was them. There always seems to be an mvc2 machine but one of the recent years the P2 side couldn't go left (like the one at Auckland Uni, wow something just clicked). There is an extra room in Auckland Uni which says on all the machines that they are run by Yifans and I guess the room with the mvc2 and ggxx machine are from them as well or whatever since they no longer have ggxx for some sad reason

just got back from armageddon. i think i got my moneys worth, considering i jumped the ginormous queue and got in for free ;D
as expected, the cosplayers were appalling. especially the naruto. i think the cosplay highlight was the gal in the elastigirl suit. she still wasnt that good though, the giant red seam on her ass was a bit killer. was surprised on the sheer number fairly good looking gals there though.
the stands were okay, but nothing too good. fairly expensive too, nothing too amazing. disappointed on the lack of sf merchandise available. was also really hoping for a marvel set up, didnt find one. guts.
the place was hella packed too, if those numbers were at aotea, it wouldve been standing room only.

i did get to jam on a few demos, god of war 3, bayonetta, uncharted 2, fairytail fights and maybe something else, cant remember.
no nintendo stand, but i figure thats due to nintendo not having an nz distributor. unless theyve remedied that problem. only the cute primo girls had a wii running. i watched some peeps on the timezone stand, but there were only scrubs, with the main tekken event happening on the last day.

try to go early-ish, the line was phenomenal this morning. was there a bit after 10 this morning, and it snaked around the course out the gate and then like half a k down the road. the line dies mid afternoon, but thats when everyone else is inside. it was kinda like a geeky easter show, with some little kids rides and set ups outside at the back.

It is a little annoying that very few stalls were offering a discount on normal retail - I don't think they really get it.
