I think the PS3 guys are talking about doing this thing too. Not too sure though. Sometimes the mics seem to lag a bit.

I cant use xbl chat atm because of no mic so I suggested that I use ventrilo with some willing people to join in.
Secondly Its smart to have a 360 near a PC set up...

Jbp. Do you have a mic port on the controller that you are using? If so you can get a mic from trademe for 16 bux. Alternatively you can just poke any old 2.5mm headset in there, including the ones that people used to plug into motorola/nokia/randomcellphones.
I moved my whole xbox setup into my room so i could do this tonight.. No computer in there. Vent wasn't an option for me
because i bent over backwards to make sure i could use the mic undisturbed (unlike i would be in the lounge) and follow
the rules.
Taunting and not having a mic = booted because you totally missed the point. But then Gino invited you back anyway..

I use a cheap arcade stick. I got a 360 controller but i dunno if I could just use that just for a mic.

This is trash. DONT shit all over new players because they arent comboing. Particularly with a character who's gameplay has very little to do with combo's in the first place.

And yes, i can't do any combos (except occasionally j.mk/hp, cr.mk/fk if i remember to do it
much slower than i do on ST so it actually works on this :P) so i will try work on that in december
when i next have a day off from work. LOL.

actually alot of my taunts come from me doing fake rock input badly.
I was the one to point out the 5 win limit to gino because I believe it was you who had about 7 wins i think when I msged him
I was salty when I said that because I was just kicked. understandable if you see it from my point of view.
I think at the end of the day the only reason this happened was because you didn't have a mic. Get one, problem solved. No one should be getting this salty about levelling up! not in this way anyway :p

I think I was super hype from the Canada Cup and my abel warm up match that I may of taken my commect abit far and I apologize for my commects ( But hook if want help with bnb guile combo then I got alot of free time so anytime! ). Ill get a mic for next week so you all hear my salty pom commects!

This means you are unable to give people any help or pointers, or even basically contribute in any way other than the game, which anyone can do at any time. The whole point of this exercise was to allow people to comment and help each other during matches. You circumvented this.
Then you taunt several times in a match which Gino has never played before. I don't care if that's part of your game plan, this was supposed to be a friendly constructive endeavour, not a display of dick stroking. Basically you came across as an asshole. If that's how you want to be seen, then good work. If you don't want to help people out, I'm pretty sure you'll be kicked out of future events of this type also.
Hope you change your attitude for next time. You'll obviously have a mic, since that's a prerequisite.

Please reread my posts. I example my taunts because of my fake bad rock inputs which is Down HP+HK which I pooed up and press hp+hk.
1) Work on your fake rock input then. You seemed to be missing it an awful lot and in situations where taunt happy people would taunt.
2) Try to stick to the same story across multiple posts. It doesn't really seem quite so honest when you first say "I taunted because you were free" and THEN say "actually they were bad inputs"
3) That's a dumb input for a move in the first place

Agreed that input is dumb but I dont make the game.
Also with his wake up Up HP which throws sand in your face which is really hard to do for some reason and also my only wake up option.

I watched a couple matches when I came home and did anyone mention the amount of jump ins people were doing? Especially in pressure moments when life was low and it looked like the only thing you could think of doing to gain damage was a risky jump in?
Euan and Gino: One thing I did notice from when you were playing was the missed dragon opportunities. I'm not sure if the characters jumping in on you guys were doing safe jumps or whatever but seemed like a dragon or two would have scared them from jumping. Maybe a reaction thing that needs working on?
Again, this is only from the matches I saw from 9pm so maybe you guys already had that covered and i'm not saying I know SSFIV, just what I think is lacking (or bad habits) that I can see.
Keen to join this for the next weekend so I can get some hints and tips too :)
I'll try make this next time, was too busy last night. Hope there was alot of discussion and what not going on. So was it a full lobby?

Yeah sorry Hook I can't add half of NZism cause my friends list has been full for the last year and a half. The cap is being extended to 1000 pretty soon, so when that happens I might be able to find room for you :D
Also if you have a normal 3.5mm mic you can just get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter for like surely less than $5 at DSE and I've been told that works. But you still probably need headphones so you can hear us talking (as I can't hear any mic talk through tv speakers) and set the voice to "play through speakers"

Just ordered a 360 mic but it wont come till next Wednesday so If anyone else who has not got a mic for this weekend I`ll make a another lobby for non mic players.
Also ill be in vent for any of the non 360 mic players that can connect to a PC and 360.
