Yeah, it is. I would suggest GGPO over the xbox 360 port.

Yeap I understand that GGPO is better but I think some of the guys can't get it to run at home. Either is fine with me

I thought the netcode for HF on xbox was meant to be really crap?
I might try jump on GGPO around 8ish bro.

What exactly happens when you play? It can't be any worse then 3s on GGPO or is it? I'll be on 7pm regardless then if no one is keen to test it out I'll jump on GGPO.

Oh yeah, the netcode is terrible.

3s GGPO is godlike in comparison.

yeah 3s should run just as good as any other game on ggpo assuming your net and game settings are fine

right , ive decided that the xbox hyper fighting speed is wrong as is mames unfortunately .
probably alot of you know that mame/ggpo run the game 5-15seconds faster than the actual board as does the xbox live version .

also alot of the arcades /fish and chip shops etc have either bootleg boards or have hyper fighting pcb installed ontop of the original world warrior board .
this also causes speed issues as the old boards up to 1991 (ww and ce) run at 10mhz .
everything from 1991 onwards , capcom started using 12mhz master ce boards and hyper fighting boards .

so for hyper fighting to run correctly you need a dash board with 12mhz crystal. From 1992 onward Capcom used only dash board with 12mhz clocks, that's true for qsound games also.
Capcom used 10mhz quartz until 1991.

i ended up paying a extra $100 ontop of the $200 i spent today for an original hyper fighting pcb to get an original 12mhz crystal sf dash master board .

just got it all up and running in my cab and i can notice a speed difference

glad to have the proper board running at the correct speed now , im happy to bring it to christmas damager for people to have a blast on , nothing like the real thing .

just fitted the new sanwa buttons and picking up to jlf sticks tommorow so will have jap sticks and buttons in the old cab so no one has to worry about not being used to the mcb sticks and buttons .

already started doing it up , wired in new lights into the top and a few other things , will look at getting a new panel for the front to move buttons further apart but not sure if i will have this done in time for the comp .

anyway will probably have a jam on saturday if anyone wants to roll round for some money matches lol

Nice Euan. Make Rory let us play on that one. Xbox 360 port seems worse than the MVC2 port compared to dreamcast.

if everyone wanted to play on that sweet , but i figure some people will wanna play on xbox cos thats what theyre practising on ?

either way i will bring the cab so people can play casuals on it and see how its meant to be , can still do the tourney on xbox , cab is just a plus .
will have to hire a ute for the day at around $100 as it wont fit in my car  so christmas damager will be the only time i bring it to gigga  so use better play it haha

can someone ask tony if its alright to bring it up to gigga ? , sure it will be as it'll only be there for the day but i better ask first i guess

I think the organisers were thinking of running hf on PC in the end? It would be cheaper and better, but whatever. I'd rather ditch the tourney to just put up a massive winstreak on the cab anyway :)

Is that a challenge LN? MONEY MATCH.

I'll play you, but I don't need the money, so no.

Can't you Auckland guys play properly without throwing money around or something?

Also, GGPO.

Bro, I'm almost always on GGPO at night! If you're keen for some games hit me up  :) And no this is not a MM challenge either lol

Also what's the difference between Arcade and the Xbox 360port other than speed/sound? If that's all it is then I'd rather play Xbox port. Been playing on turbo 3 against Doors too much  :D

You realise that the turbo speeds just skip frames right? It makes many inputs much harder, and in some cases impossible.

The main issue with running it from the arcade cab is that the tournament will take forever with only the one setup.

No doubt giga will want to charge you $10 per hour for power as well (similar to ben paying $10 an hour for his own 3S setup), and unfortunately we can't justify paying for it from the tournament cash pot. Something you'll need to consider on top of your ute rental :o

Of course I do  ::) But still fun to play.
