So from the interest in the Blazblue thread I'm keen to get together and level up and swap some strats offline. Talked to Suzannah and this is the deal.

We can jam at my place on later in the week this coming week or the week after so possible dates are 29/30/31st Dec or 5/6/7th Jan. Starting at around 12-1pm and wrapping up around 7 or 8pm. Same deal as last time I had a jam here I can't fit more than about 10 people in the apartment so I'll make a list of who's coming, I'll put down the people that said they were keen in the other thread.

First in first served, if I have your name down and you can't make it let me know and I will update the list in case somebody else wants to come.

If someone really want's to come and we are out of room  or one person turning up relies on somebody giving them a lift I might be able to bump myself down the list one and make room for one more but would prefer to keep it to 10 including myself.

Lenny offered to bring a lagless monitor (and xbox plus a copy of the game?) for one setup so we just need to make sure we have some Xbox sticks. I have the PS3 and copy of the game + DLC plus I have 2xTEs for PS3, but we might need a spare PS3 stick on the day. Obviously I have one decent TV here alreay but it's not COMPLETELY lagless, the lag is very minimal but if anyone want's to offer a second lagless monitor feel free ;)
I have a PS2 hooked up to a CRT and two Namcos for people to play CvS2, 3S, Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers etc between rounds of Blazblue

We need to agree on a date so post up your preferences here and we can try and sort a date that suits us all, preferably in the next day or two so it's not last minute for those that have to drive from Hamilton ;).

Oh fuck that was december and january lol. Well I don't think I can do anytime this month, but 5th/6th/7th Jan should be alright depending on what time you wanna do it. Start summer school on the 6th.... :( But at least that means I can play SSF4AE every day. Of course gaming has nothing to do with why I've failed lots of papers and I'm in summer school.

Maybe some of us could catch up before ny? My gf will be back by the 8th and we'll want to do stuff while we both have holidays...

So I have a TV, PS3 and two TE sticks with BB:CS set up!

I have a second TV, it's not completely lagless but it will do for tomorrow. I also have a second PS3 here so we just need two more PS3 sticks and a copy of the game. So Taku if your offer of a PS3 stick still stands can you bring that, also Caleb could you bring your stick?

Yer ggs last night mane. Hard i'm always falling asleep that late. But the addiction keeps you up untill you just mashing shit out hahaah.

Fuck i didn't stop mashing buttons till like the last two games haha. So hard to brake the crouch tech habbit from ssf4 (counter.counter.counter.counter.). heaps of times i was trying to AA. I don't think any of the moves i read that were AA were working. I tried 5a,5b, 5C and every other direction with every button including air to air too. Random air to air moves were working alright, but not consistent. And think blocking was doing me better.

The only thing i can do in this game proper are combo's haha. All the other shit i'm lost on still. That's why it's gonna be good to play offline with peeps that know what their doing with that sort of shit.

Im keen to come along if thats alright graeme? Got a copy of it now so been practicing a little bit

GGs to everyone i played. once evryone knew my gimmicky tager tricks i had to actually think about what i was gonna do next, thank god for his one-move,massive-damage.....moves.... ???

Caleb, i dont like how your noel turns my character into a ball for you to bounce around as you please.stop it.now.all in all though, she's solid.gonna have to figure out what i have to do against those drives too (apart from the obvious spam-Tagers-D-stay-the-hell-away-from-me tactic).

Julz, fighting hazama is always a headache for me, and yours is a great example of that, even if your mixups were just "average" lol. i was using backdash-4D to catch you coming in with your drives though, so maybe mixing up your follow-ups to your drives will allow you to get an opening?i know hazama's got one where he kinda flys around for a bit on his side of the screen before ending up in the opponents face,but meh iuno.

Ben, thanks for the ragna matches, i wasnt sure how to handle ragna pressure until now, but i got a fair-ish idea.sorry bout the mis-information on jumping C,i didnt know tagers toes were an active hitbox as well lol.that said you adapted pretty well and i started eating AA 4A's when i used it to get in.i think ragnas 5D would be a nightmare for tager simply bcuz tager has to grab @ point blank, and i dont think his sledge hammer (the forward moving slashy thingee he does) can go through it, only projectiles.

Graeme (graham?), your Bang is pretty good,but i think talking to John (the other Bang player) woulld be  more productive,he pays more attention to detail than i do, cuz im amazingly lazy like that.I'm with julz on this one though, he doesnt need 6(?) guard primers.4 maybe,6 no.

I learnt heaps today too lol. I've never had a real chance to vs Bang before now (and last night with Graeme). And Taku is probably the best Tager I've played lol, so that was interesting and alot of fun. I guess I'm just lucky that getting the game last week gave me just enough practice that I could up my damage to get through that thick health bar of his ><.

I learnt lots, was letting it mull over for a few hours even lol. Thanks heaps for the fun Graeme, it was great.

Yeah I definitely got a few good tips yesterday! I think we all achieved the goal for the day which was to level up a bit. Good tips from Snakey and Taku that I wasn't using neutral tech correctly/often enough, trying to chill on my mashing when I'm in long combos or stuck in the corner ;)

Yeah GG's all. I think the best part is that we actually did what we set out to do, i.e. we all pretty much did level up. And like Caleb said, Taku's Tager is prob the best I've fought, and Snakeys Bang is the first proper Bang I've ever fought. So it was all good experience. Playing it the night before was just enough practice to be decent at Graeme's training session lolz..

Your Tager won most of the matches with me I think Taku, but I managed to get an Astral off kekeke.
Beginner mode money match rematch though lol.

Ben that's a good setup into command throw you did on me. I'm gonna steal it but put on the end of my combo lol. You got the blocking problem i got too. Just gotta block sometimes ay. The rest is just practice your combo's and you'd prety much be on my level as me as i don't know matchups that well tbh. Except the Bang mirror lol.

I still consider my Bang pretty scrubby so i will go train now and learn to block.

Lol well I'm hitting training mode too. Gotta clean up that silencer loop, and learn some more (hopefully safer) combo starters. And I know that I pulled out all the stops that last match with weazy ><. I didn't want to lose in the last last fight lol. The thought of you learning to block better is scary though.

I learnt alot. Time to take what I learnt and level up before the next ranbats lol. There are still alot of improvements that I can make to my Noel, so now it's time to make them (before uni starts up again and I don't have time to practice ><)

ARC systems tend to take the top tier characters from one iteration of a game, and nerf the living jeebus out of them in the next one.  So I reckon he won't be as cheesy.  Would have liked to have gone, but got to see my awesome new nephew.  Plus with my xbox dying I havent really practiced at all.

Fuck i think i read the wrong tier list. Bang is no 1 i thought he was no 2 and Litchi was no 1.

If Bang is shit i am gonna have to say sorry Bang but i'm off to learn Arakune 10000000 hit combo.

That is exactly what happened to Noel. And I reckon it's still early to see how the tier list is shaping up, but it does look like Haz's damage is down ><. I've also heard that Arakune is S+ and may be banned in tournaments, but well. All the news on this stuff is all over the place, so I trust none of it.

What's interesting about Makoto's placing in CS2 is that she didn't even change much. Fundamentally the same char. What was a mid-to-high tier char in CS1 becomes S tier in CS2 simply because of the top tier from CS1 getting nerfed.

And yeah, Arakune still has the ridiculous 9000+ dmg curse loops in CS2. If you saw NorCalInstall yesterday you will realise how bullshit it is in the hands of a good player.

Oh yeah and Valk gets the shaft too, hah!

Arakune can only deal huge damage by starting with JC and D bugs.
