Doesn't seem like any other people play much Guilty Gear though, which since getting my stick I've been playing pretty much exclusively.

And good shit, too! I don't understand why GG hasn't become much more popular than it has. I wasn't really interested for a while (I played X on DC and didn't think much), but when I saw the matches on Evo2k5 dvds I decided it was time to learn... eddie. :D

Back when Yifans was running two Guilty Gear XX machines(The previous version from #Reload). Two players named kingpic and feijay were beating the cr@p out of other the players using Potemkin and Johnny respectively... Due to the damage being so high, people were eating ~80% combos most of the time from those two players, and that's when I believed the popularity died down.

There is a XX machine in the gym... Too bad the Yifans guys took it out of the proper cabinet and chucked it in a sh!tty little cabinet. But $1 for 3 games is not bad... I always see Sol noobs playing it when I go to the gym... 360 motion plus mashing buttons!!!

I'm gonna be in Yifans about lunchtime on Monday. If anyones down for a challenge on MvC2, CvS2 or wants to kick my ass on KOF I'll be the guy in the green Boston Celtics hat with the tattoos.
If anyone else knows a time they're gonna be there on the weekend post up here. I only live about 10 mins walk from Yifans so if I'm not already busy I can bust it down for a challange.
After watching some of the match vids posted up here I realise I'm pretty rusty but should be able to get up to speed on MvC2 fairly quickly (wish I could practice at home) and I'm fairly confident I could hold my own on CvS2.

The last time I played was at James' place a couple of months ago. It was about 50/50. I just used Millia the whole time since she's the only one I could use after having not played for 9 months.
As for Yifans, the last time I played there was around March/April last year. Then Uni got so busy I just had to stay in the lab whenever I had no class. Now that Uni is over for me and I live so far away (Dannemora) so there's even less chance for me to come to Yifans. Unless I find a job in CBD (which I'm trying to do right now) then I can come down.

Millia mirror matches don't count. :)
It's as random as Chipp mirror matches or Slayer mirror matches... You really can't make any solid assumptions.

LOL. It's still so so IMO. I still have some execution technicalities. Beating XBOX doesn't matter. Beating people like you, both Ryans and the other guys is where it counts. (Except for those two casual players which I ended up bullying earlier on because they beat my Zappa when I gave them two seconds, and basically forced myself into aggro mode... beating them was sad on my part...)

Yea there's usually more ppl in weekdays after about 4pm. Uni students eh. I don't go down on weekends, Yifans already robs every penny off my broke-ass.

I'm starting to enjoy marvel a bit more, actually. I don't think I'd play it seriously, like I pretend to do with Guilty Gear and recently Melty Blood, but yeah. I need to unlock all the characters for mine; I want to try Magneto :D. At the moment I'm just Cable/Charlie, and anyone for third. I should probably take the time to learn more about assists. :P

This guys bison is pretty intense with that doom AAA. Granted, his opponent is pretty average, but this is about as good as bison gets.
Hrm... I guess he almost has a couple of tricks... looks like a bit of a super whore though (at least, to do decent damage...)
