Naming the Nats.

Potentially i posted this in the wrong area, but anyway.

It has been brought to my attention that we dont ACTUALLY have an official name for the nats. I just figured, since im bored waiting for MVC2 to start in WCW2, that id make a suggestions thread.

Im trying to think of something quintessentially kiwi, but ALSO fighting game-ish. And its actually kind of difficult. Plus i cant seem to get Richards suggestion of "Beast Quest" out of my head. >_> The cliche's keep rolling out as well. But i guess theyre cliche's for a reason. Look at Wrestlemania, Super Battle Opera, West Coast Warzone, and even Munta's Mashmasters tourney.

Since this is something that our Nats will be called EVERY YEAR from now on, i think it needs to have some impact, and it needs to be memorable enough so that people know WTF that shit is in the years to come.

Anyway, I personally like using the NZism brand in the title, since If its going to chiefly be run by NZism, we should be advertising.

So yea, i dunno,  i guess i would suggest something like 'NZism Blackout 2010.' Except not that, because it sounds massively lame, and abbreviates to NZBO, which makes us look like we're ripping off SBO.

But yea, we get NZism in there, 'black' kind of keeps to the nz theme. etc. Terrible name/example, but an example none the less.

Beast Quest since that is what Alan and myself thought of.

Beast Quest sounds like a gay porn film. Where barbarians go village to village, slaying dragons and women, and then brutally raping the men.

That being said, it runs rings around 'blackout'. God that was an awful example.

But yea, 'beast' is all good. Combining it with 'quest' im not a big fan of.

I like Beast Quest because its a quest to become a beast.  Your First, you are the beast and everyone else is shit.  Daigo the Beast as an example and we are always calling people "BEAST" if they are fucking owning people.

We could do a cliche name such as "Down Right Fierce", "Back Dash", "NZ parry", "Focus, Attack, NZism" or something else that is just another generic name.

Like i say, i like the use of beast, (for the reasons you mentioned) i just dont like 'Beast Quest'.

I think Beast Quest sounds like an rpg game not really a name for NZ's fighting game nationals but yeah it does sound cool if you think about joining a quest to become a beast like stu said.

Maybe "NZ POB", NZ's Path of A Beast, lol so the winner also earns the title of BEAST until the next year. Arrrggggg BEAST MODE lol
