Good stuff guys, grats on the win Mason.
Shot for letting us crash at your pad Kurt <3

Anytime bro. Awesome ranbats, it was cool to see some people using the new chars.

Edit: Btw Skull, did some quick tests of Fuerte's Ultra 2 vs Chun's blocked overhead flip kick and only the foward version seems safe on block, the rest get eaten. (This is wrong they are safe next time 'quick test' will be 'more carefully considered tests')

According to frame data, theyre all advantageous for chun on block. lk is +4, mk is +5, and hk is +4, so in theory, chun shouldn't be able to be punished by anything that isn't some psychic pre-emptive shit. Or is their safety range specific?

Additionally bro im having some trouble putting your name to a face. Describe yourself so that i have something to fap to when porn isnt extreme enough.

Those numbers are on hit bro - all versions of hazanshu are -1 on block, except for the forward version which is at even frames - so they all look safe against Fuerte's 1+3 frame U2

Ahahaha. Reading them backwards. Last time i look at frame data at 2am. Either way, i thought they were safe.

I'm the idiot that stuck with Makoto even after I lost my first game to Dave's(?) Guile lol. I was wearing a hat and an obscene yellow shirt.

Edited for being irrelevant nonsense. It is safe.

Although it takes 4 frames to jump, a character can't be grabbed in their pre-jump frames.  So basically anything -2 or better cannot be punished by Fuerte's U2.

With regard backdashing fuertes U2, I'm a bit unsure as to how long Fuertes U2 remains active.  If it remains active for longer than the invulerable and airborne frames in chun's backdash, then she'll get grabbed as well.

Thx Lenny, didn't know  :-[. I still don't understand how it could possibly work then, maybe someone else can test it if they have time, tell me what I'm doing wrong? I record Chun doing lk hazanshu and hold straight up immediately, while the Hazanshu is still in animation, so I can only assume she will jump at the first possible opportunity, and yet can still u2 with Fuerte? any ideas?

This seems like the common problem that I've spotted. People do the move in recording and hold up, but what happens is they're holding up during your ultra freeze and the recording lets go of up and starts the next one so it no longer jumps. Best thing to do is to pause during the ultra freeze and chuck it back on record and hold up manually.

Oh yeah and ggs all yay for me winning  :D

Congratz on the win Mason, and thanks a bunch for clearing that up. It was starting to annoy me tryna find out lol. Is that the same reasoning behind unblockable Ultras? maybe it wll be fixed when they remove them. Anyways thx again.

What mason is talking about only applys to training mode. Unblockable ultras have something to do with not being able to block during the 'eye bulge' animation, so if a fireball is on you when your opponent activates the ultra, you eat the fireball, and the ultra combos off of it.

Or something. I actually have no idea.

As for backdashing fuerte's U2, some characters with longer backdashes can (vega, chun, duds come to mind) but characters with shorter backdashes (fuerte for instance) will backdash and get grabbed when their dash recovers. But i dont get why you would bother, when its a hell of a lot safer to just jump out of it.

In which case what i said remains true. If you have a decent length backdash, or are far enough away to begin with, youll be fine.
