You are a ghost investigating the cause of your murder - with special powers you've gained once becoming an apparition. Manipulating objects is somewhat within your powers - when your 'core' inhabits an item, you may interact with it, turning on switches, pushing small balls etc - but far more important is your ability to rewind time to just before the death of any corpse you come across. Zip back to 4 minutes before their demise, and attempt to change their fate, along with yours!
Presented as an absolutely beautifully animated 2d adventure/puzzle game (and I can't stress that enough - I've never seen such elaborate and smooth animations before - the team truly went all out!), Ghost Trick is a delight from start to finish. Engaging story and characters, great dialogue, fun puzzles, I don't have a bad thing to say about it.
A criminally overlooked game that should certainly be given a chance.
