Okay, I have just spoken with the worker at Giga and she reckons they will eb open but I want confirmation from Tony.

Giga is fine to be open as they are providing a service as opposed to goods.  The Shop Trading Hours Act only applies to shops selling goods.

THe only thing they have to do to ensure they comply is to make sure they arent selling anything else on teh day E.G.: Food and Drinks.  They also have to cover any food and drinks up so that people in the internet cafe can't see them.

But tbh it is very unlikely a labour inspector will come and inspect Giga.

Depends on the house and what/why they are selling, but I think it is likely that they cant.  I used to do alot of the admin and policy work around the shop trading hours act, so if you are asking for personal reasons I can probably find out for you if you want.

Also having looked through some ofmy older doc's I think Giga will be fine to sell drinks and stuff on the day.
