It might work that way in MVC3. It doesnt in marvel 2. Thought mostly thats because noone has a grab worth being afraid of i guess. And the way blocking/jumping works doesnt help.

Might add Viper onto the team. Seems good on point and her flame kick assist seems good as well.

Flame Kick assist looks really good - also hit confirm into Thunder Knuckle, into EX Thunder Knuckle for the crumple, into Marvel Shit does really good damage and builds good meter.

Flame kick assist hits overhead, so sets up unblockables the same way a low one does, but backwards. Viper is looking like a really beast rushdown character atm.

Yeah bro - I was a massive vs. series fan when they first came out (XvsSF was pretty much the first game I ever played in the arcade) but I was a scrub and thought I was a beast by beating the computer with my Spider-Man/Guile/Charlie team lol - will be good to get a good idea of how to actually play this game on an even ground with everyone instead of trying to play a 10 year old game that I have no clue where to start with

Another game I can beast you at. Just the usual it seems.

The Deadpool voiceclip when he beats Magneto at the end of the match is a nice nod to MVC2.

So there you go... arcade "not impossible". That's hardly confirmation though.

Attn Mason:

3:35, Marn does a 3x DHC.

Also, general observation: At 2:20, Justin air combos into a knockdown, and marn does a delayed roll. The roll doesnt come out for a while, so im still sketchy on the roll mechanic and whether you have to eat most OTG combos or not. Doesnt look like youre hittable during the roll. Marn only got tagged because trish's super tracks and he blocked the wrong way. Justin does a similar setup before 3 mins which Marn blocks fine.

I read somewhere that you can't roll in the same sense as MvC2 and it can't be used to escape OTG combos. It's more of a quick getup like K Groove in CvS2. You're gonna be eating those air combos into ground supers all day long *RAGE*.

I think the OTG floor bounce is unrollable, but after that you can roll...

Hmmm yeah he did do that and I actually have seen some in the past. But the video I linked is the most current version isn't it? So maybe they made a mistake or maybe they changed it on purpose. Need more new videos with Akuma/Taskmaster to confirm.

I have a question for those who have been following closer. Can someone fully explain the X-Factor. Like I hear sometimes in videos people talking about level 3 x-factor. Does that just mean x-factor on their last character (cause it does more damage the less characters you have or something)? So then level 1 x-factor is when you have all 3 available and level 2 is when you have 2 left? Also with the x-factor cancel and just straight out x-factor is there any difference? Like how bursts in GG/BB are different depending on the situation you use it. Cause sometimes I see people just activate x-factor after killing a character and waiting for the next one to come in and I thought why not just hit them first like normal then cancel into x-factor and get more damage and a longer lasting x-factor.

LN

Yeah, refers to number of chars. 3 = 1 char left, 2 = 2 chars left, 1 = all chars.

There is currently no build out with Phoenix/haggar/akuma/taskmaster available to play. And the marn vs justin video is the CES build, which is the most current pre release version.
