Commentating sounds like a good idea.
Would be better than hearing "Damager"!! every 5 secs on the videos  though i'm sure it will still happen.

As for players hearing & the crowd yelling out strategies - can't see any problem.
Most online events ive seen they can hear the commentary, and if they don't want to they whack on some headphones.
