Where to get Xbox 360 from?

As the title suggests, i'm looking to get a 360 and am completely in the dark on the whole thing.

What should i look for, watch out for?
How much should i be looking to pay?

I want to get it for HDR and maybe take a look at SSFIV. Do people still get xboxes modded these days?
Will want to play online too. I understand that's a subscription deal.

My flatmate works at JB hifi and is finding out a price for me.. i'm thinking that's my best bet but
maybe there's a better way?

I'd rather not order online cause i'm too impatient.

Oh yeah, i'll need to dual mod my PS3 TE stick to work on 360, what's the PCB i need? Lenny told me and i forgot.. maybe i'll pm him again.

Yeah thats the one bro.

Get one through your mate sounds like the plan.  Make sure you get at least a 20gig HDD as well, prolly wanna get a 60gig one in case you decide you'd be interested in other games, as there are some pretty good ones on LIVE arcade.

Don't get it modchipped.  You'll end up having it banned from Xboxlive.

Should i avoid getting an xbox from trademe?

So my flatmate can get me a X360 S 250gb for $450 and SSFIV for $67..
(apparently they don't have any Elite's and they're not available to them anymore)
She said i have to get HDR online..

I looked on mighty ape and it's not that much more on there.. Just go for it?

xbox can red ring (eg die)and someone selling may have one thats been fixed from red ring(so likely to happen again)

Got my Xbox! Downloading HDR right now..

Nice bro.  I still havent got mine repaired.  Will prolly do it when I move into my new room (waiting for the other flatmate to move out). Then I'll see you online!
