VGA is pants.

Is that good or bad?
Cause the voice over guy at the end of letterman sometimes says "Pants are good" so.. :P

DVI or HDMI is better. Why use something worse if you don't have to?

Bump. D:

Looking at picking up this: http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=13995 - ASUS VE246H, can't seem to find a BenQ panel in stock in Auckland that has been verified as lag free. This is the newer/larger version of the monitors we use at ranbats, anyone know if it's alright? I did a google search but couldn't find anything on this one :/

Not willing to go less than a 24 inch, can't find a 27 inch lag free and the 30 inch lag free monitors are too expensive :/ I'd get a CRT but I can't fit it at my place :(

Yo,
I got the other verson fo that monitor, VW246H? and it was proven lag free.
I Also seen that monitor of ur's in the link, its smilar, both uses TFT TN Panel which are great for gaming when it comes to lag free.
Though I'll it to leave it for the more expert facts :)

I'll also liek to add that my monitor is made for gaming and your one is more economical.
Here is both monitor in comparasion:

If you're looking for a computer panel, make sure it's either a TN (best) or IPS (still awesome) panel type - from what I could google, that ASUS one you linked to isn't either, so it might not be lag free, but the chances are pretty good since it's 24" and under... which from memory, anything over that size tends to be expensive (like you mentioned) or of a shitty panel type which lags like a mofo (PVA)

Very hard to say definitely, but chances are it's fine. Seems to be the Economical version of the monitor, probably just means the backlights and whatnot are a bit different - panel is probably the same.

electric

It was the one I was telling you about a little while ago that Wilks said he could get through work for a bit cheaper than retail, but here's what they're currently going for in the shops: http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=614213

Might get those or some 24" for the cab Im building.

Rorooze

Those 32 inch screens are input lag free? MF'er. Really? I can't find any evidence saying that they are.

It's the NZ equivalent of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN-ktFollVs

IPS panels are the bizzy

whoa, true.

Looks like I found a screen then. Can't really afford that right at the moment though. hmmmm.

LN

720p only... (not that that is a problem for ps3 users haw haw haw)

As for IPS... for gaming they generally are NOT the bizzy.
