I saw the df.lk stupid backflip kick thing instead of the flip-over-opponent-and-crossup-kick and was all "I hate chun in this game".

Ken is not a bad character at all, his f+mk is really good. He just doesn't have quite the well-rounded game that Ryu has, but he's totally usable.

Just don't be surprised when people keep saying "SHORYUKEN! SHORYUKEN!" whenever you use him

In other news I sent this to David Farrier after the tourney:

Hi David,

Just as follow up, we had the tournament on saturday and it went well.
Just under 40 entrants with cash prizes for the top 3 places.  (I cant
remember the amount but all three top got posters and shirts, first
prize got a limited edition chun li figurine and $130 cash.  Cant
remember how much money second and third got.)

Getting alot of positive feedback on different gaming forums
(gpforums.co.nz and our own nzism.alphaism.com) and we are definitely
looking at doing more in the future.

It'll be some hard work I imagine, but having the char fit your playstyle is very important! If you like guile and are PASSIONATE about making him better, then go for it!

You guys are right about playing from 10 or so onwards. Get alot more stable connections.

It's official, Steven (I-Got-Paid) is one of my favorite players here in NZ. Awesome player.

On Humanbomb: I beat this guy pretty bad last week, and honestly, I didn't think his Viper was anything special. Kientan on the other hand is a very decent player, gone about even with him on Claw, Boxer, Viper and Chun. He's good.
