wow GGs today Toomekke.

I was pretty happy that my Blanka could even hang that much. We both made a few dumb decisions at the end of rounds that caused a lot of stupid endings haha, and i kept doing dumb shit and getting rightfully destroyed.

GG's to Lenny, and kingpiccolo for serving me with some crazy execution in the last couple days. Amazing by both of you.

GGs as always Cptmunta, look forward to getting some more in and trying to figure out that Sim of yours.

How do you set up your buttons in relation to focus, throw and all three punches + kicks?

Lol,  When I had to play using the controller I had it setup like this.



I found it better to have RB-mk because I use mk more than mp.  Also same with 3 punches on RT.  I could never press anything on the Left side when it comes to playing fighting games. And learn to use the analog instead of the Dpad.

EDIT: I also used the 3punches/kicks to perform ex moves.  Hope this helps out

My setup is similar except my 3 kicks are swapped to Right trigger (Guile is my main) plus I use A for middle kick + Left bumper is focus and right bumper is throw

I like to imagine that the red text that shows up at the bottom whenever Sagat does ultra says "FAGGOT!!"

On a serious note, Rufus is an amazingly solid pick, he has just about all the tools (notably loses to Zangief due to no ranged stuff other than cr.FP), and is I think one of the easiest characters to use in any competitive fighting game I've played. All the stuff in that vid is really easy to do. Every damn thing combos into Ultra, and with basically no difficulty at all. His tornado move is ridiculously safe, and ex messiah kick beats tons of stuff (although isn't really safe if they block your mixup at the end, unless you FADC).

Toomeke, I reckon if you pick him up you'll do well - you seem to have a good grasp of what to do and what not to do, and tbh there's not much more to Rufus. not sure if Rufus will go further than Rog though... definitely a useful second char regardless. WHAT A RUSHHHHHHH

No problem bro.  I find it pretty easy to do throws on the controller because I can press the lp and lk with my thumb no problem.  Focus attacks were no good though (could never dash out of them) so that's why I had the lb-mp instead of focus.

Ahem, yes that's Kindevu the top Rufus player in Japan, who, by the way, is one of the best (and one of my favorite) Viper players also.

A couple of things for Rufus though, to consider before picking him up is that he's not as easy as he looks to use, particularly if you're used to playing the game on Easy mode a la Boxer or Sagat. He's got some tough matches versus some of the other top characters, Blanka especially IMO (But who doesn't?) also. It'd be good to see some more Rufus being picked here though, Lenny tried him out and kicked ass, and I'd be confident others who try him and love the rush down style will do well with him.

Don't sleep on the rest of the US, J Wong isn't exactly dominating the country atm.
