MvC2 is very much about mobility (and ability to put lots of shit on the screen). Unfortunately while many super heroes can fly around, the street fighter cast are lucky to be able to super jump :P

The 360 version isnt bad. All the stuff below is based on my 2 matches online with randoms, and the matches i played with stu and lenny.

It looks smexy. The sprites are very pretty indeed. Plays well, minimal delay. (none that i noticed) At first glance its the same old marvel, but better looking.

Ive noticed a few things that arent quite right with it though. For instance, the switch trick (hold assist button on the loading screen and it switches your characters around) works in training mode, but not online. Its not a glitch, so it should be in the game. I use this all the time, and i lost HEAPS of matches because storm was out first and i was expecting anak. Its a habit ive got into at yifans, which im going to have to work my way around at home. This is a decent sized issue imo.

Netcode is good, though ive noticed a bit of input lag at the beginning of the match. Tends to smooth out pretty quickly though, but being at a disadvantage to whoever can mash faster at the beginning isnt great. Im thinking this is my internet maybe?

And theres a weird bug when spectating that lets you hear the match, but not see it, which then doesnt let you in the game at all afterwards. Edit: Also happens IN GAME. I think i can still DO THINGS when this happens, it just doesnt appear on screen. Only happened once mid match. (Stu and Lenny probably noticed the round where my anak was standing still. That was me sitting there watching a freeze frame of anakaris being kicked in the face. Which i wasnt happy about.) When i did start moving the stick, i heard someone blocking something, so it looks like the game still plays. But this is a pretty major bug. Happened once while i was in the lobby, and once while i was in a match.

Besides that weird bug, it looks pretty solid. I imagine that for local stuff, it would be pretty good, provided the switch trick works in offline multiplayer.

Edit: Im getting an enough lag to throw me off pretty bad. Holding back on the stick and seeing my character either continue moving forward for a few frames, or get hit by something isnt nice. That being said, lag is fucktons better than SF4. It was fine when i started playing, but it just ended up getting progressively worse. Im thinking its my connection. Someone upstairs probably started watching some kind of weird shemale porn.

All that considered. Its pretty damn good. If i can keep my family from fucking the internet over, then im sure i wouldnt have the issues im having with it. Im gonna keep my eye on that bug though.

He's the hero NZism deserves.
But not the one it needs right now.
So we'll hunt him.
Because he can take it.
Because he's not our Hero.

Hope our scrubby-ness did not offend you, lol :)

Youre not that scrubby. Though your movements are fucking weird. But not in a bad way. In more of a "oh look he did that instead of what everyone else does. Oh look anakaris is dead"

The same way youre playing a ken in sf4, and youre not expecting him to fire off a random hp.shoryuken, so you inch forward, only to get flowcharted in the face. You think, "theres no way hes going to do something that retarded again", and soon after youre watching your character flying off into the air, slowly burning alive. Not by the Oleet shoryu flames, but by his own shame.

Actually scratch that last comment. Youre a good deal better than flowchart ken. But you get my drift.

I hate when people play weird. >_> But in all seriousness i played more scrubby than either of you did. Fucked up the one curse infinite i landed, didnt use any instant overheads, ate like 300 AA assists,  snapped out a minimum hp magneto for a full hp sentinel...i played pretty shit. >_< All of those mistakes were made long before i started lagging as well, which hurts my pride a little :P

I hope there is some better comp online though. I brutalised the randoms i fought. I actually felt a little sad when i hit more than one otoko michi on one guy.

Yep, I pity the randoms that have to face any reasonably proficient marvel player.

I should be on tonight.

I just played training mode for about 3 mins before work, and it seemed really weird. Even training mode was a bit laggy at the start, and the timing seems completely strange for the ROM inf.

Really? Didnt seem REALLY weird. The timing felt a little strange but not too bad. That being said, i didnt try to ROM.
