NZism chat?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if you guys would find an NZism chat applet (irc based probably) useful?

Upsides:
Instantaneous talking
Easier matchmaking (see who's around)
Probably makes it easier for newbies to ask questions

Downsides:
Might decrease post counts if people talk about everything in the chat
No historical account of topics (unless people copy/paste post interesting stuff)
If people aren't around it's going to be completely dead, and even if there are like 3 ppl in there it'll probably still be dead.

Thoughts? I'm not super keen on spending a bunch of time implementing something like this if it's not going to be used/useful.

I would rather we have a PSN ID option under our names like you Xbox Live guys. I'm sure we've got a few more of us PSN users amongst the newer people

I personally probably wouldn't use chat that much but that's just me.

Most people are playing SFIV now though I think ggpo will get busy again when SFIV hits the pc's.
