apologies last night o the guys that challenged me.  I was battling iMagneto most of the time. 

You guys all seem to jump on prett late.  I must admit... the comp on PSNis alot more intense.

do you use the roll defensively? like if you dont want people jumping into you?

I really do need to use EX roll more to get out of being pinned down, but am always afraid of the throw... normal rolls tend to get stuffed on start up as well, so I don't really use them that often... Guess I just need to work on getting out of sticky situations, as that's where I feel I end up losing most matches lol

yeah when i muck around with abel i like abuse the roll if the opponent is jump happy reminds me of CVS2.
not that my abel his pro or anything i just like playin around with the whole cast.

Have you tried Option selecting the thow break into the roll?

Press the throw just as you get up,  this will tech the throw if they throw you on your get up, and then do the EX roll.  Timing is hard but I use it alot with fuerte and it works well.

I had to ditch Gen real fast as I couldn't remember his moves

I'm glad I found this forum so I can finally start playing good players (instead of just the crummy AI & 1 bar fights against Ninjas from Japan )

If you want help with Gen bro I am more than happy to help you with him.  He is my main and I have mained him since the console release.

He does MASSIVE damage, and has loads of tricks, but he is hard to master, as you need pretty good execution to play him.

I just love old Kung Fu guys & am trying to avoid using the Shoto's.

Any good FAQs to read, combos to learn ?
The only thing I can combo is the 1000 hands

Ive never used Sagat.
Blanka is my main.
If I can get Gen to a point where I can handle myself against Cammy I will be happy - she beats the crap out of me (even the AI).
