Nick you been working on any instrumentals? gwaDEAL (and maybe me hah) gonna start writing again. Met up with this guy I went to school with who can get us FREE studio time and he's pretty good on the mic too.

Haha yeah I know whenI say my beats are unfinished it basically means I haven't gone hard with the bass  FL Studio can be so limited....

I would record it myself if I had the right equipment. I'm still experimenting with FL Studio and whenever I create a bassline with it it just doesn't sound like what I would like it sound  Sounds too "artificial" for me

Maybe try bass synths rather than trying to get a bass "guitar" sound..?
Embrace the "artificialness" and work with what you have?

I've used bass synths in previous beats and I really don't wanna be recycling the same sound lol But yeah you're right just gotta work with what I have. Gotta keep experimenting with all the sounds and maybe I'll find what I'm looking for.

Good to get some critisim though. I really don't share my beats with people outside family and close friends so I never get to hear outside opinions at all

Thanks! The photos don't do the 27" iMacs justice, they're MASSIVE. I wish my stick worked under windows on it cause i'd use
GGPO on it instead of my laptop.
