You need a ps3 pcb.

I don't have a ps3 so never looked into which ones are hackable, the only one I know is the cthulu...

Or you can get a converter and use a PS1 pad.

There is even a version of the PSX pad that you can hack that you dont need to do any soldering on.  Check out SRK's tech thread

I have two old ps1 sticks (pre dual analog) and an extra USB Smartjoy converter. Looks like it might be time for me to make a custom stick

Nha cant use PS2 controllers.   THey arent common ground.  Need a PS1 controller.  Go to any second hand shop and they should have plenty.

Then either this weekend or next bring it to my house and I'll show you how to solder it up.  Do you have buttons and a stick for the DC stick yet?  I might have some spare you can buyoff me.  WIll have to have a look.
