If they went the way they had pitched it would have come across as a good movie.  The director had it going the right way though I'm not sure if scorpion would do well as the lead character.

Scorpion is more of an anti-hero. They probably only made him the lead because hes the most interesting character in the MK universe.

It wasn't a 'hoax'.

It was a directors pitch for the movie essentially. Pretty sure it didnt get picked up though. Thats what i heard anyway. Thats where the hoax crap is coming from.
