Green fist of all types is definitely unsafe on block for Zangief, you can certainly punish him after. Non-EX green hand is even unsafe on HIT iirc.

TBH Stu, with blanka you just have to slow down and react to what he is doing.  Be vigilant with your tech throws.

The thing about blanka is that apart from his Ultra, he can only really chip away at your life bar, and save block damage can only really do damage to you if you let him.

Dont jump in on him on wake up.  Be sure to Focus his rainbow ball.

Basically get yourself a lead, and then sit on it.  This will force the blanka to try and come at you to gain match momentum, and this is where he is weakest.  Just keep pushing him out, and dont get baited.  DONT EVER JUMP IN ON HIM WHEN HE HAS CHARGE AND ULTRA METER!

Remember that when he is walking forward he has no charge so jump in etc and start shenanigans.

Good tips here,
Here's my two cents, hopefully it doesn't come off too scrubby.  ;)

Blanka and Gief gave me the most headaches with Dic. Hopping Blankas would always cross me up and make me loose my charge and gief I couldn't rush down in case of the slightest fuck up. Now that I'm playing Rose more I seem to have more control since I don't need to worry about charged, just everything else ;)

Gief is tough cos it's a boring match and it's easy to loose patience. With Dic against gief scrubs headstomp is your friend. if it misses and you're far enough away lk scissor kick. Can't you slide Lariat? Or am I dreaming?

As Rose I just have to zone my ass off. Rose does hardly any damage so I just have to try and keep full screen away most of the time and sweep lariats. Get the lead and keep it. Luckly her dash is really good for running away.

With Blanka I'm always looking at his meter. At the start of a round alot of scrub blanka Ball straight away, LP ball and then throw, or slide. So I usually dash back and punish.

That focusing the rainbow ball tip is gold can you focus the EX rainbow?

Random fact: Normal Green hand is safer than EX green hand on block.

He's the hero NZism deserves.
But not the one it needs right now.
So we'll hunt him.
Because he can take it.
Because he's not our Hero.

If it does multiple hits then no... I don't know if it does or not. Don't ever play against a blanka soz.

I already do that thinking it's a nice chance but instead I eat electricity.

Have u guys played with Humanbomb syd, Zoddiac, Aesop83?
I think they are the best players on XBL.
Playing with them always make me drop into desperation.
Can anybody give me some tips against Viper and Chun?

Hey Arnold! Welcome :)

Play some games against Fluxcore to learn the match up for Viper and Gino for Chun Li.

Learn to read Vipers burning kick because you can focus it.  Though watch out for her thunder knuckle.

It's hard to say what to do, which character are you using?

EDIT: Just on another topic.  Where the heck did my baby monkey go???

Against Chun? Use blanka, at least that match seems to be the hardest for my chun.

Not at all. Aesops chun is quite good. He is aggressive but very safe in doing so.

Its a lot like how Mike plays Bison. Lots of poke pressure and empty FADC's to close distance. Hes quite fun to play actually. Patient but aggressive. Id love to be safer on offense myself.
