Fuck less than $300 dollar flights. I'm pretty keen :O Might see if I can get the missus to get me the flights for my birthday >_< Who else is 100% going?

NZ tax is like 50. Aus is around 150. it should still be under or around 300 if you do the plain seat + bag

They include departure tax in ticket prices now if you're leaving from Auckland airport. Auckland airport changed to this system back in 2008. Anywhere else in the country its an extra $25. Not sure where you got the $150 from Len.

Basically, those prices are it.

Upon researching it looks like that since July last year, departure tax is now included in ALL ticket prices across the country. So noone has to worry about it now at all.

Yup, last year when I went over the prices all included tax... so I also didn't know what that $150 is from... xD

If you actually click an option on that page bill showed it will add airport tax etc into the price..

If they're going to make it compulsory to include that cost in ticket prices, then they should be showing that shit up front goddammit. But that makes sense as to where Lenny pulled the $150 from. Fucking last time i read a government website and believe it.

Anyway, thats still only $396 if you include food and a movie, and like $60 less if you just take seat+bag. Which is still pretty damn affordable.

p.s $400 return on AirNZ isn't bad... they're much better than Qantas or Virgin etc..
Good inflight entertainment systems..

I was AirNZ return last month when i went to melbs.
