Oh yes that Hue playing for Simon thing.

Reason was quiet simple, it was the finals.
It's quiet sad to have a tournament and no finals, but I restricted him to play Abel which he had no idea how to play. It was practically for show and wouldn't of affected the outcome. This was not though of in the first place and decisions needed to be made with not much time left. So my decision was to have a FINAL rather than not.

It was a sudden and hard decision, but something had to be done.

Id just like to point out the hue learned Abel before simon did. Simon just got better with him.
<Smoof>
He's the hero NZism deserves.
But not the one it needs right now.
So we'll hunt him.
Because he can take it.
Because he's not our Hero.
He's a Niuean Guardian.
A watchful poster.

Anyway. I guess they've already said it wasn't serious. So I guess it's silly to expect serious rules. The sooner this is put behind the community the better. Let's just move on to better things.

I think we're all aware of this. The tournament was essentially promotional, and it did its job. We now have to set our sights on the next one, and making it better. (Pyrotechnics/strippers etc.)

I like the idea of having strippers.. I was really disappointed to not see any hot chicks on the day.
Widen your eyes, there are always mountains higher than the ones you see.

Re: RVB grinder sessions, what sort of format were we thinking? Round robin? Swiss? Or just line up and play when it's your turn. . . :) What were the orginal thoughts on the day Leo?

Simon(Crazymobius): Are you going to this bro?

HoneyBadger

Do you think it would be a good idea to get something going at Auckland armageddon?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if a similar event to the ones occurring in Wellington/Christchurch will be happening.

Definitely a good idea. Even if people are just handing out business cards at various fighting-game related locations.

I don't know of any as of yet and if we managed to be the ones hosting it allowing the use of sticks and whatnot no doubt we'd manage to get higher level gameplay, more positive responses shit like that. dunno if it would work though

They haven't announced anything yet, sure - but then I don't think they announced the Wellington/CHCH ones earlier than a week or so ago either!

Anyone got any good contacts in Armageddon to probe a bit?

I know some people who set up stands, at the least I could find out from them who to talk to
