Everythings looking awesome, selectable ultra's rumour is great news.
Netcode is going to be the sweet sweet sweet icing hopefully.

Here's to a PC release tho, and arcade would be great but difficult to implement. I don't see a problem with arcade remaining the "Pure" version of the game.

Perhaps if Capcom did a third revision later on, added third strike characters to the roster but stuck with the same engine, it would be cool for a "Perfect" arcade release to hit at some stage.
Just random speculation on the fate of the worlds arcades lol.

you are never too late to learn a char, you apply all your experience from others when you leanr a new char and once you get a hang of them you can start playing with new things.

Central Japan (Honshu) is like the modern part. i.e where Tokyo and shit is.
Northern Japan (Hokaido) is a lot of farm country and ports
Then you have Shikoku and Okinawa. Okinawa is a pretty rural sort of are for most parts, probably as close as you can get to the really "traditional" sort of lifestyle. Shikoku is just random hahahahaha
