Live Sound/Event Production - MAINZ

Doing some gigs allready while studying full time, finish in 8 weeks.
True, did any gigs for anyone famous (main stream). What are you studying?

The course is considered both Live sound (setting up concert sound systems & mixing live bands)and Event Production (Stage presentation/ stage crewing etc), Through school ive done crew for the Rockquest Nationals which had some NZ famous bands (Kingston, Bang Bang Eche + some others, not really my thing but cool for exp) and im doing the NZ Music Awards in a few weeks so im guessing thats going to have some main stream NZ artists performing, outside of class I havent really done anything for "big" artists but thats to be expected when coming out of the course, aiming for a job under a AKL sound company or maybe starting my own once ive completed the course. Definitely check it out if your into audio and music.

Out of half my band go to MAINZ CHCH and my old drummer was on one of the early courses back in the westcoast of the south island. Recorded there twice even.

The CHCH audio suite looks nicer then the rooms we have up here, was thinking of heading down there to study but decided againest it since my homes only two hours drive from where im at in AKL  :P

Wot sort of pig feet u like ? trotter ? stew ? deepfried ? Braised?

One of Fav is braised trotter .Easiest one as well.

Ingredients: Serves 4
1 pig's trotter (about 1.2kg), cut into

 4cm x 5cm pieces

a sling of oil, for stir-frying

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

a pinch of salt

For the pot:

5 cloves garlic, slightly smashed

7 dried chilies, de-seeded

1 teaspoon salt

4 teaspoons dark soy sauce

4 teaspoons light soy sauce

3 tablespoons rice wine

2 star anise

Method:

Scald the trotters in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes.  Remove from the pot and rinse in running water.  Drain and pat-dry.  Heat a sling of oil in a wok and stir-fry trotter briefly with garlic, light soy sauce and salt.  Once fragrant, transfer all ingredients into a pot.  Add all ingredients under 'for the pot', except for the rice wine.  Add enough water to cover the ingredients.  Bring to a boil and then lower heat to a simmer for 1½ hours, or longer, until the meat is tender and gravy is reduced considerably.  Add rice wine, stir well and serve with steamed white jasmine rice.
