MvC2 tourney @ RvB, 12/12/09 (& grind session)

Is NZ Marvel Baby!

I'm proud to announce that we'll be running a Marvel vs Capcom 2 tournament at RvB on 12/12/09! I've been waiting to see you Aucklanders battle it out 'for real' for a long time now, and I reckon the time has come!

We'll also be hiring out a couple of extra consoles so people that want to play random games can come along too, a la our usual training/grind sessions.

Date/Time: 12/12/09, 12pm reg, 1pm tourney start at the latest.
Format: dbl elimination, best of 3 games per match until finals
Venue fee: $5
Tournament entrance fee: $5 (so bring $10 if you want to enter, $5 if you want to watch + train)
Prize: 60/30/10 split of pot for 1st/2nd/3rd place
Console: Dreamcast!

No, if you've got dreamcast sticks or consoles, please bring them, since they are kind of hard to get ahold of these days and DC is fairly notorious for being flakey. I'll be bringing my DC + VGA box, and 1 TE stick for DC as well as my old MCA fish'n'chippie stick which I'm sure most people will hate. Maybe I'll bring the dreadnought stick as well.

It will be better than running thru composite but you will still have lag. The image will be scaling from 480p to 720p which will give you a couple of frames of lag

That depends on the tv... unless you know all the specifics of those tvs?

all the 32in lcd samsung "LA32R31BX"
and the 46ni lcd samsung "LA40N81BX"

they can help on your research on ya specifications

I can bring an old 14 inch crt if you like lol. But I think it's on 60hz or something? I dunno exactly how this shit works I just know it's better than lcd.
