After the success of last years Street Fighter IV nationals, NZism.com is bringing back more fighting action, and this year its bigger and better!  Five of the greatest fighters ever released and your chance to prove that you are the best of the best!  Whether you're a seasoned pro looking to take home prizes and glory, or a new player looking to feel the thrill of tournament battle for the first time, this will be the biggest baddest fighting game event of the year!

Expect to see the hottest fighting game action ever, with entrants coming from the North and South Island, as well as Australia to do battle for the title of New Zealand's strongest World Warrior!

Price: $20-00 for entrants that register before July 30th 2010, $30-00 for people that register either on the day of the tournament or after July 30th.  This includes entry into the tournament, and one game.  Each subsequent game you enter will cost an additional $5-00.  All entry fees are to be paid on the day of the tournament.

Prizes will be cash split 60/30/10 amongst the top 3 for each game.  The overall pot will be divided amongst the games depending on the number of entrants.  As sponsors are brought into the fold, sponsor prizes will be allocated at the discretion of the judges in the form of spot prizes.

Controllers and joysticks will be available for those that don't have one or can't bring their own.  But it is reccomended that you bring your own.

What do we lowly PS3 users do about sticks, seeing as the X360 doesn't allow us to use our perfectly standard USB devices ?

Curse the day you bought a ps3, and dual mod your sticks.

Just means I can't use either of my sticks but as long as there are some Xbox TE's to use I'll be happy.

I'm in this camp too really... just would have liked to be able to donate a stick for use

its all teh same, TE is still a TE doesnt matter if its xbox or ps3.
the reason its on xbox is because of teh monitors Giga has which causes delay for the PS3, so xbox are the better choice of teh 2.

I'll enter everything but Tekken 6. I wouldn't even know where to start with that game

Yeah I think I'll do Tekken for the lols. I might try learn a bit more before the tourney though. And I gotta practice up on Marvel.

I may do SF II and third strike, purely to make up numbers though.

In HD Remix tournies do they play with HD Remix style or classic?

mm Im looking forward to 3rd strike, Tekken 6 and ssf4.... need to train up on the first two though :p ahven't played in ages.
