ISP ADSL2+ Questions who's da best?

Telstra Clear can't get cable to where I'm moving to (Halswell Christchurch, where I'm at atm) so I'd have to stick with standard adsl with them. Max download of approx 7Mbs

Apparently you can't get adsl2+ here according to them. But according wiki:

And Slingshot say I already have ADSL2+ with Telstra Clear 

And Telecom say that Halswell doesn't have adsl2+:

But they will get it by Sept 2011. Whup de shit 

But then again they could mean just through them which would be smart to say since orcon, vodaphone and a few other providers are suppling adsl2+ where telecom aren't.

So basically I want to know who is right? Or how do I find out for sure without the hassle of switching ISPs just to find out. I know from my address I'm not being supplied I rarely get close to 7mbps.  Right now:

This is what my parents are on, its adsl2+ though the cap for them is 5gb.

Your speed certainly doesnt LOOK like adsl2. But who am i to comment, given that i actually know absolutely nothing about it.

your ping is less than 50, so you probably have ADSL2, unless you had your interleaving 'secretly' turned off at some stage.

So is it the Ping that affects online play? The lower the better right?

Yup, so if you have 20-40ms to somebody in auckland it means you can play some relatively lag free 3S on ggpo which is better than nothing

Oh, and also not only ping but upload speed needs to be good too.

yes ping dont mean anything if your upload speed is sucky sucky .
You want a good upload speed , then you can get interleaving turned off to get a better ping but will result in a more unstable line
