NEW Tournament for SF4 Brainstorming

What if nobody come? what point of setting up the tourney then no one show up. I show up even i have to work till 4pm .Make myself here to feel the crowd , how many people will show up .

The whole point is to make things works. fuk i donno how to put in words. What is happened is already happened just look forward for another new Tournament . Any error b4 the tourney voice up and comment.

Yep, it was great to see you & Hiroshi turn up just to say hello and see how things were going - a few people had left by then too, and you saw how it was, pretty good. It's people WANTING to be involved that made me happy, and possibly why I'm kind of annoyed at the 'don't want to come' thing, because it's just the opposite.

I too was proud of how it went, even though by far the bulk of it was Andy's work (cheers Toomeke btw for laptop and whatnot, don't think I thanked you yet!)

How can we promote the site through these events better?  Business cards with the site logo and url on it?  Sexy naked chicks with the url on their buttcheeks?

It would be cool to chuck Mike's logo on a TE stick template or something and have it on some of the sticks that the trainees are on. But yeah, it was our first tourney and obviously things need to be improved. Also it would be cool to have a sticky or something with the names of our better players gamertags ect just so people have a good idea of who to play with/ask questions

lets set some goals and action points.  By Monday we need to have the following information:

1.   The cost of the 4 hour event from RVB (Zosla)
2.   Confirmation of the NZism logo ready for us to use (iMagneto)
3.   Confirmation of any prices for us to make some business cards with the sites url etc on it (ill_bill)
4.      The cost of having a logo printed onto T-shirts and Hoodies (Lenny)
5.      Could someone make a draft poster fo the event much like the poster that was done for the tourney? (Any takers?)

Furthermore, can we just move on please guys?  Whats done is done.  I do not have a time machine that I can use to go into the past and fix shit, and nor do you.  Lets focus on NZisms next event.

My girlfriend works at a printshop so I should be able to get a good deal on the business cards.

I still think the main problem with the t-shirts/hoodies is the colour - at least for a whitey like me a white hoody is pretty horrible, but I guess you can do whatever you want really.

As for moving on, I really just want to understand why these guys felt so strongly about whatever it is (which I'm still not sure about) that they didn't want to turn up to an event for a game they are passionate about. If they are only going to get involved in things which they completely control, then sorry, because I really am not interested in catering to them and them only, no matter how oldschool or top-player they are.

I understand your points about the Tournament but I took the day for what it was:
The chance to catch up with some good cunts. Success!
Make some new friends that share one of my main interests. Success!
Play some Street Fighter. Success!
Get a few new people into Street Fighter. Success! I have 3 people I know now interested in catching up at my place to learn some more stuff!

All in all I had a really good day, no need to take it to seriously. I want more!
I was looking forward to catching up with you Simon. Me and Steven were both very surprised you weren't there.
I know your issues with the tournament etc but I don't want the Street Fighter scene (what little scene we have) to turn into the backstabbing bitchfest that the NZ Hardcore/Punk scene is sometimes.
I just want to play games and hang out with some good peeps
